  • About Sara

Heyyy! I’m Sara Hurst, a junior interaction designer and visual artist passionate about creating thoughtful, intuitive digital experiences. My work sits at the intersection of illustration, branding, and digital design, where I focus on translating ideas into visuals that feel engaging and easy to understand. I am especially drawn to work that balances aesthetics with usability, creating design that not only looks beautiful but also works seamlessly for the people using it.

My interest in design began in high school, where I discovered a love for both visual creativity and problem solving. I was naturally drawn to projects that combined artistic thinking with strategy, which eventually led me to UI and UX design. Since then, I have focused on developing a process that blends research, structure, and creativity to build experiences that feel clear, intuitive, and meaningful.

Also during high-school, I developed a love for film-making as a whole. From script-writing, to filming and directing, to even the post-production, I found myself drawn to the art form. For a well deserved movie break, feel free to check out some of my film projects!

As a designer, I enjoy exploring how small details such as layout, motion, and visual hierarchy shape the way people interact with a product. I love to experiment with new tools and approaches, and I’m always working to refine my style, and pushing my work to the fullest. Whether I am designing an interface, illustrating a concept, or building out a brand, I aim to create work that feels approachable, memorable, and purposeful.

I see every project as an opportunity to grow, challenge myself, and create something I am proud of. Thanks for taking the time to explore my work. Mwah!
